Project Estimates and Quotes
All project estimates and quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are based on the information you provide and may be subject to change if project scope or materials change.
We strive to provide accurate estimates, but final pricing may vary based on unforeseen circumstances discovered during the project, such as structural issues or necessary repairs not visible during the initial assessment.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your project contract. Typically, we require:
- A deposit to secure your project start date and order materials
- Progress payments at agreed-upon milestones
- Final payment upon project completion and your approval
We accept various payment methods including cash, check, and major credit cards. Late payments may be subject to additional fees as outlined in your contract.
Project Timeline and Scheduling
We work hard to complete your project on time. However, timelines may be affected by weather conditions, material availability, permit delays, or unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize their impact on your project.
You are responsible for ensuring clear access to the work area and maintaining a safe environment around the construction site.
Warranties and Guarantees
We stand behind our work with comprehensive warranties. Specific warranty details will be provided in your project contract and typically include:
- Workmanship warranty on labor and installation
- Material warranties as provided by manufacturers
- Structural integrity guarantees for properly maintained decks
Warranties do not cover damage from improper use, lack of maintenance, natural disasters, or normal wear and tear beyond reasonable expectations.
Changes and Cancellations
If you need to make changes to your project after work has begun, we will provide a revised quote for any additional work or materials required. Change orders must be approved in writing before we proceed.
Cancellation terms will be outlined in your contract. Generally, deposits for materials already ordered are non-refundable, and you may be responsible for work already completed.
Limitation of Liability
IronOak Syracuse Deck Builder maintains appropriate insurance coverage for our work. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the deck or outdoor structure after completion, except where such claims result directly from our negligence or breach of contract.
Permits and Regulations
We will assist in obtaining necessary permits for your project when required. However, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your project complies with all local building codes, homeowner association rules, and zoning regulations.
You must disclose any restrictions or requirements that may affect the project before work begins.
Intellectual Property
Custom designs we create for your project remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. After full payment, you receive a license to use the design for your property. We may use photos of completed projects for marketing purposes unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.
Dispute Resolution
We are committed to resolving any concerns you may have about our services. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first to work toward a mutually acceptable solution.
If we cannot resolve the issue directly, any disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of New York and resolved in the appropriate courts of Onondaga County.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
